Hello, and thank you for visiting my digital portfolio today!
My name is Mariah Phillips (maiden name Griffith) and I am a 2017 graduate of Iowa State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and another Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication from the distinguished Greenlee School. I have worked as a field conservation intern, a writer, a park interpreter, and a quality control laboratory technician. Click the links to my resume and CV for details.
You may also look through my Clips and Blogs links to see examples of my work in popular scientific writing.
I have aspirations of a career in wildlife ecology, and I’m currently seeking research and employment opportunities. I’m broadly interested in three main topics; 1. species conservation in avian and mammalian taxa, 2. conservation and restoration of wildlife habitat on public lands, and 3. clear scientific communication that leads to better collaboration between professionals and local stakeholders in ongoing research.
Thanks again for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon.
